The Couture of a Woman

The body of a woman is art. With each curve there is a discovery of purpose and definition. The innocence and design within is of an essence. The creation of her delicate being expresses every true nature of her existence. From the movement of her eyes and the pureness they prevail, to the strength of her stare and the magic of her visions. The couture of a woman is and will always be the totality of her soul and representation of her character. With great purpose and a inbred blueprint given through scarifice of self; she builds and protects, nourishes and guides. The couture of a woman not only through fashion but through the reality of living is the prevailing taste.
I had the pleasure of styling Ms. Tracia Ham in the Salsa Salsa Dance Studio last year 2015 in the ParkSlope, Brooklyn area of  New York for her very first fashion photo shoot, introducing her to a world of fashion. I must say I enjoyed watching her bloom out of her shell and just flourish in front of the camera. As her natural beauty shines through the lens I decided to create a style that showed her off in her natural state. The all in one lace body suit hugged her every curve. The light blue color brought out her soft bronze like skin tone and made it a subtle capture of her uninhibited beauty. The lace ensemble in collaboration with the gold pearl necklace (provided by Pat's Charms)  emphasized her femininity. As she exude with charm, confidence and glamour. Her presence became quite enchanting.
With a sense of power and vulnerbilty Tracia was the perfect muse for "The Couture of a Woman" She was poised yet unsure. She brought out her ability to listen and take direction well, as photographer Marcus Issac gave her instruction and advice. They meshed together well and he kept his composure and delivered shot after shot, with patience and understanding. The gleam from her eyes showed excitement and anticipation for what was to be captured. An unknown element to her daily routine she became a student and listened keenly to every instruction. With a bright red lip and a darkened brow her features lifted from her face and became 3D. She was alive in front of the lens and wanted more.
Make up Artist Shreelaxmi Patki worked patiently on each aspect of Tracia's face capturing her natural beauty and enhancing it. Her eyes were outlined smokey and her blush complimented the bronze tones, matching together well and giving off the subtleness of flirty yet classy. The makeup ensemble was a masterpiece.

Day to day woman forget about themselves and bring forth a life for others whether it be a son a daughter a mother or father even in most cases a friend. Women tend to  abandon self and lose focus on what is the most important thing which is the strengthening of self. But with all these equations they sum up The Couture of A Woman and allow us to exchange a Hi end encounter with a one of a kind creation, a woman. With eyes that peirce your soul and a stature of royalty The Couture of a Woman will demand and seize your attention.

As today is the first day of March a month dedicated to the history and awareness of women we should look around us and embrace and love each woman we know. It may be a co-worker, a friend a mother or a distant relative who ever it may be reach out and talk a little bit about what it means to them to be a woman and I bet with every answer you too will capture the true "Couture of a Woman".
